The evil Lord Kronos is trying to overpower the gods, and Percy and his friends are trying to help. Annabeth, Percy's friend, was kidnapped by a follower of Lord Kronos. In the end, Percy and his friends rescue Annabeth and partially the gods. Percy is very brave and sympathetic throughout his adventure. I would have been killed very early in the book if I were Percy.
