Percy Jackson and The Olympians; The Lightning Thief

This is the first Percy Jackson book I've read and it's extremely good.

The Lightning Thief, by Rick Riordan, 375 pages

               In this exciting book, Percy Jackson, the son of Poseidon the water god, finds out that he is a demigod, and is sent to Camp Half Blood which is the only safe place for him to be protected from monsters.  Now, Percy is on a quest with two friends, Annabeth and a satyr named Grover, to find the master lightning bolt of Zeus, the sky god. This is Zeus's most powerful weapon and he blames Percy for its disappearance.  In reality, Percy has not stolen anything, and if he does not find the master lightning bolt and return it to Zeus in 10 days time, World War III will begin between Zeus and Poseidon, and many normal people will die.  It's up to Percy and his friends to save the world from the largest war in history to break out.
