The Sea of Monsters

This is the second book in the Percy Jackson series and it's awesome.  Read the Lightning Thief blog entry first if you are not familiar with this series.
The Sea of Monsters, by Rick Riordan, 279 pages

In this book, Percy Jackson meets his cyclops giant brother named Tyson, and with the help of  him and Annabeth, Percy has to save camp half-bloods boundaries from vanishing.  Percy also needs to save Grover who called him in his dreams, and because Percy and Grover have an empathy link, if Grover dies, Percy will die too.  Luke is the one who had poisoned Thalia's tree, which is the tree that creates camp half-blood's boundaries.  To save camp half-blood and Grover, Percy and his friends have to go to the Sea of Monsters, get the fleece which is a magical that heals everything it touches, and save somehow get past the cyclops, Polyphemus, who is guarding the fleece and Grover.  If Percy and his friends don't succeed in their quest, the only safe place for half-bloods will be destroyed.
